Mazda B6 / BP1800 Components

The small B-series engine by Japanese automotive manufacturer, Mazda, is a belt-driven inline four-cylinder engine with a timing belt driven SOHC and DOHC valvetrain. Ranging from 1.1 to 1.8 litres, the series have featured in numerous Mazda models.

The B6 and larger BP series engines led the charge in the late ‘80s as multi-valve technology and turbos came together. For their size, the B-series combined high-levels of torque and power. The B6 was the first high-performance engine and the BP took things up a notch with larger bore and stroke dimensions increasing the swept capacity, a beloved engine for turbo enthusiasts.
